Astute's Power Team is exclusively partnered with our client to recruit for a Production Engineer to join a brand-new Energy from Waste Power Station, currently in commissioning phase, in Braintree, Essex. The EfW Power Station will process 595,000 tons of waste per annum to generate 55MW of electricity to export to the National Grid. The vital Production Engineer / Day Shift Team Leader roles come with a competitive salary + bonus + further education allowances + other benefits. Responsibilities and duties

  • Supporting with all production and operational activities on the plant.
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operations of the power station within the operational parameters, which will include monitoring the plant via the DCS system.
  • Developing and motivating the production team to ensure operational targets are achieved.
  • Deputising for the Production Manager and providing cover for the Shift Team Leaders when required.
  • Supervising contractors, reviewing RAMS and ensuring all work is carried out in line with company legislation and processes.
  • Identify areas within the plant for improvement to improve efficiency.
