Astute's Power Team are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for an Energy from Waste plant located in Belfast.

This role within the maintenance department is focusing the management, supervision and coordination of the Mechanical Maintenance Team to deliver maximum plant availability, reliability and performance.

Responsibilities and duties: As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for: Implement and promote Health, Safety and Environmental policies, ensuring compliance with site procedures and Safety Rules.

Develop, optimise and manage the CMMS (Maximo), driving work order backlog reduction and prioritising statutory and process safety tasks.

Lead the planning, supervision and coordination of maintenance activities to maximise plant availability, reliability and performance.

Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures and best practices to improve asset performance.

Manage troubleshooting, planned, reactive and major maintenance across mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Ensure high-quality maintenance standards through effective supervision of in-house teams and contractors.

Lead root cause investigations and promote a 'first-time-fix' approach to maintenance.
