Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with an international player in the nuclear energy market to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer for their facility in Cranfield. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide operational engineering support across current and future project activities within laboratory and workshop facilities. This role focuses on the planning, build, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of R&D test rigs and systems, ensuring delivery meets customer expectations and industry best practice.

The Manufacturing Engineer role comes with a salary of around £55,000 dependant on experience as well as an enhanced pension and other brilliant benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Manufacturing Engineer role:
  • Reporting to the Head of Testing & Qualification you will work closely with engineering and project management teams to translate design concepts into fully functional measurement and test systems.
  • Create and develop process flow diagrams (PFDS), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDS), engineering schematics, work instructions and assembly instructions.
  • Assemble and install mechanical components, machinery, and equipment.
