Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Technician role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for

  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a wide range of mechanical, electrical and C&I equipment, including motors, valves, rotating machinery, pumps, switchgear, variable speed drives, instrumentation and conveyor systems.
  • Develop and manage PPM schedules, while reviewing and assessing plant defects as required.
  • Identify critical maintenance spares and maintain effective control and management of spare parts stock.
  • Plan and implement plant improvement and engineering projects.
  • Supervise subcontractors and work closely with external contractors, particularly during scheduled maintenance, inspections and shutdown activities.
