The vital Mechanical Technician role comes with a salary of £49,129 + up to 10% Bonus + Overtime + Private Medical + call out payments + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Technician role
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Fault finding and maintaining mechanical assets including steam boilers, pumps, gearboxes, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressed air systems, etc.
- Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices
- To ensure compliance with the pressure regulations and lifting gear inspection requirements
- Assisting in plant developments and projects
- Supervising and setting to work on site contractors
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Ideally have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering
- A health and safety qualification such as an IOSH will be highly advantageous
Personal Skills, Prior Experience and Knowledge
The Mechanical Technician role would suit someone who has:
- Hands on maintenance experience with mechanical systems including, boilers, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, cranes etc
- Practical knowledge xsabvtc of process plant and equipment gained in a heavy engineering environment such as power generation, petrochemical, steel works, CHP plant, paper mill etc.
- Royal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers will also be considered for this opportunity
