Responsibilities and duties of the Senior UPS Field Service Engineer roleReporting to the Technical Manager, you will:
- Start up, maintain, and carry out emergency repairs on Batteries, Power distribution equipment, and Site monitoring systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults using clients' technical drawings when necessary.
- Provide technical recommendations to clients and colleagues.
- Produce and follow site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure continuous communication with the service direction team.
- Accurately complete all company and customer paperwork and administration.
- Work independently and manage your own schedule and workload.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Previous field service experience in UPS, switchgear, IPS, SCADA, or related power/electrical sectors.
- Qualified Electrician/Electrical Engineer (Level 3/4 or above - HNC, HND, NVQ preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills in electrical/electronic engineering.
- Competence with electrical measuring equipment and tools.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
