Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a well-established business who own and operate their own anaerobic digestion plants, which provide both gas and electricity to the grid. Together we are recruiting an Operator for their site in Worcestershire. The strategically important Operator role comes with a salary of up to £34,000, discretionary bonus (after 1 year of service) and additional benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Plant Operator role:- Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:
- Carry out day to day operations of the renewable energy process plant.
- Use SCADA control systems to monitor the process (training provided).
- Carry out general maintenance tasks such as changing and isolating a pump, greasing, oil and filter changes.
- Support the biologist with carrying out analysis checks (training provided).
- Feed fuel into the process using mobile plant such as telehandlers.
- Respond to machine and systems failures.
- Ensure adherence with health & safety at all times.
- Work on a day shift rotation.
- Other duties as required.
- A relevant Engineering qualification/certificate would be an advantage but not essential.
- Telehandler or other plant tickets such as loading shovel, tractor etc., but not essential.
- A full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Experience working in a similar outdoor environment.
- First line maintenance experience.
- Experience with SCADA is an advantage.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Has a genuine interest in working in the renewable energy sector.
- Has a good work ethic and a desire to work as part of a supportive team.
- Salary up to £34,000 depending on experience.
- Bonus - eligible after one year of service.
