Astute's EPC Contract Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor within the UK Power Industry to recruit a Commissioning Manager on a 3 months contract to install a synchronous condenser for their CCGT operational plant in Pembroke. There is a possibility that this role will be extended further.
The Commissioning Manager role comes with a day rate from £600.00 to £700.00 outside of IR35.
Responsibilities include:
- Working in collaboration with the construction team, ensuring that commissioning activities are planned safely and to required quality standards and specifications.
- Setting up the pre-commissioning documentation in line with milestones for the commissioning both Cold/Hot.
- Providing appropriate support throughout the commissioning phase of the project.
- Updating commissioning documentation including site reports and assisting with O&M manuals.
- Carrying out and recording all commissioning tests.
- Liaising with onsite subcontractors where necessary.
- Reporting to the Commissioning Manager / Lead with any site progression.
Commissioning experience gained within CCGT, OCGT, or Energy from Waste is essential, along with electrical, mechanical or process (chemical) engineering.
