Astute's Power team are looking to recruit a Temporary Works Coordinator on a long-term contract for a water treatment project in North London.
Key skills:
- Coordinate and manage all temporary works on site in accordance with BS 5975.
- Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure all temporary works are correctly categorised.
- Review and coordinate temporary works designs, calculations, and approvals.
- Liaise with designers, engineers, subcontractors, and site management teams.
- Ensure Temporary Works Permits are issued, monitored, and closed out appropriately.
- Verify that temporary works are constructed, inspected, and dismantled in accordance with approved designs.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits of temporary works activities.
- Ensure risks associated with excavation support, formwork, falsework, access scaffolding, lifting operations, cofferdams, pipework supports, and temporary structures are effectively managed.
- Chair temporary works coordination meetings and communicate requirements to project teams.
- Support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Assist in planning construction activities to minimise operational impacts within live water treatment environments.
Requirements:
- Must hold a TWC CITB, SMSTS and CSCS Card EUSR Water Hygiene Card (highly desirable).
- Thames Water Safety Passport (highly desirable).
- Must have experience working on water treatment, wastewater treatment, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of temporary works design and construction methodologies.
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and engineering disciplines in a live construction environment.
