Astute's Biogas Team has been exclusively appointed to search for a Plant Manager in Wiltshire on an anaerobic digestion plant with 3MW of installed capacity. The Plant Manager role is a key role on site and we’re open to people from biogas or related process industry. A technical mindset with a solutions-focussed approach is what we’re after.
The Plant Manager role comes with a salary around the £55,000 mark and also comes with the added company benefits. Responsibilities and duties of the Plant Manager roleReporting to the Senior Leadership Team you will:
- Have full ownership and accountability for the biogas site across compliance, profitability and managing all operational aspects
- Promote a positive safety first culture
- Liaise with and manage all regulatory and compliance bodies
- Develop and maintain great relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders, including the EA, local government personnel and internal Directorate
- Ensure PAS110 compliance
- Manage all permits and conditions
- Develop and manage the staff on site, which will be two Operators and a Maintenance Engineer
- Complete consistent proactive process assessments and look for continuous improvements around the site
- Work closely with the Maintenance Engineer to ensure the maximum amount of uptime and the best yields possible
- Attend call outs if and when necessary along with the team
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A degree or HND/C in a relevant engineering discipline
- Proven experience managing and developing people
- Experience with CMMS, EA and PAS110 is hugely beneficial
- Anaerobic digestion experience is hugely preferred but not essential. We will consider candidates from similar industry
