Astute’s Nuclear Team is partnering with an international design consultancy who are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their busy established team in Birmingham city centre. The strategically important Structural Engineer role comes with a salary of up to €45,000, a competitive company pension, flexible working and a market leading bonus scheme. Responsibilities and duties of the Structural Engineer role

  • Deliver design work for heavy civil structures; this can include bridges, maritime, tunnels and nuclear
  • Assist senior members of staff with completing projects in a timely manner
  • Attend site visits and liaise with clients as and when needed
  • Complete assessment and inspection work of existing structures

Professional qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience within Structural Design
  • Someone who is actively working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE)
  • Experience with any of the following sectors: Bridges, Rail, Maritime, Tunnelling and or Nuclear

Personal skills

  • Motivated by progression and personal development
  • Keen to work on a wide variety of projects
  • Able to work within a team as well as individually
