Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company to recruit an Electrical Technician for their Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Station in Rochester, Kent.

Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Fault-finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, switchgear, transformers, variable speed drives, HV plant, etc.
- Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices
- Undertaking/assisting in plant developments/projects
- Setting to work and supervising contractors
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the site's CMMSE
- Ensuring HSE compliance at all times
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Ideally apprentice trained with an NVQ Level 3 minimum qualification in an Electrical related discipline
- A Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous
- 18th Edition Wiring regulations would be preferred
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who has:
- Prior Electrical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc.
- Experience working with High Voltage (HV) systems up to 400kV would be ideal.
- Experience working with relevant electrical equipment such as motors, generators, switchgears, etc.
A starting basic salary of up to £51,484, performance related bonus, monthly skills shortage allowance, overtime, and other excellent benefits.
