Astute’s Renewables Team is partnering with a forward-thinking renewable energy provider with a strong focus on professional development and sustainability to recruit a Solar PV Site Manager with experience in 132kV Grid Connection.

The strategically important Site Manager role comes with 50,000–55,000, pension, and flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities and duties of the Site Manager role

Reporting to the Construction Manager you will:

* Lead and oversee all civil and electrical installation activities on major grid connection solar projects, including up to 132kV.
* Plan daily work schedules, track KPIs, manage team rosters, and maintain uncompromising safety standards.
* Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Support the commercial team with budget reporting, cost control, and forecasting.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to uphold safety and quality.
* Act as the on-site point of contact, engaging with stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and landowners.
* Ensure all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Essential:

* Full and valid UK driving licence
* SMSTS and First Aid at Work certifications
* CSCS Black Card
* Proven experience in site management for civil/electrical infrastructure
* Strong Health, Safety & Environmental awareness
* Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings
* Experience with Electrical Isolation (LOTO) procedures (LV & HV)

Preferred:

* Electrical or HV qualifications
* Civil/construction qualifications
* Experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar or battery storage)
* Knowledge of commercial contracts and budget management
