Astuteβs Renewables team is partnering with the largest producer of renewable energy from food waste in England and Wales. The company owns and operates a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit an Operative for their site in North London. The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to 33,500 + overtime, callout payments, London weighting allowance and excellent benefits package. Responsibilities and duties of the Site Operator role
- Support with the day to day running of the anaerobic digestion plant
- Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
- Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
- Take part in the on-call rota
- Monitoring the plant via the SCADA
- Keeping the site clean and tidy
- Maintaining high levels of health & safety
- Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
- Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training is essential
- Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
Personal skills
- Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
- Mobile plant experience
- First line maintenance experience
- Agricultural experience is highly desired
