Job Description

Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit a Shift Supervisor for its Lower-Tier COMAH site in Northampton.

The Shift Supervisor role comes with a competitive basic salary + shift allowance, benefits and opportunity for on-the-job training & further progression.

Responsibilities and duties of the Shift Supervisor role Reporting to the Terminal Manager you will: Supervise safe handling of all fuels and additives received, stored and distributed on site, in line with safety standards and legislation.

Act as the competent person on site in absence of the Operations Supervisor.

Oversee the maintenance and integrity of terminal plant and equipment to support safe and reliable operations.

Manage day-to-day terminal operations, coordinating drivers and contractors to maintain efficient logistics and high customer service standards.

Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring operational performance, and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: NVQ Level 3 in a process or engineering discipline IOSH or equivalent safety qualification Experience supervising operations within a high-hazard, continuous process environment (e. g. fuel terminal, refinery, chemical process plant).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel.

A strong awareness of health & safety practices is essential.

Full UK Driving License Personal skills The Shift Supervisor role would suit someone who is: A strong communicator Experienced in maintaining and driving a strong safety culture on site by ensuring compliance of all safety rules and procedures.

Happy to work a shift pattern including days, nights and weekends.
