Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a growing ICP, providing end-to-end solutions across sustainable and renewable infrastructure, including substations, EV, and other renewable assets. We are seeking an SAP Project Engineer to support project growth and pipeline. The Senior Authorised Person (SAP) will be crucial in delivering HV and LV installations, ensuring all electrical networks are installed safely, professionally, and to a high standard. The role offers a package with an OTE of up to £75,000. If you are a qualified Senior Authorised Person looking for a new challenge in the renewables sector, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee and coordinate on-site teams working on LV and HV electrical networks.
  • Support testing and commissioning of LV and HV distribution systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage project delivery; respond to fault call-outs as needed.
  • Conduct site audits, generate reports, and monitor budgets and team performance.
  • Contribute to team development and training towards LV or HV Authorised Person status.
  • Prepare and maintain site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Support operations as a Standby Engineer within the organisation’s O&M portfolio.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Hold (or have held) authorisations up to 33kV; authorisations up to 11kV considered.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Personal Skills:

  • Strong safety awareness and hazard identification skills.
  • Experience in producing RAMS and managing related documentation.
  • Flexibility to attend sites as required, including weekend work at enhanced rates.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary up to £60,000, with OTE around £75,000.
