Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit an EC&I Technician to work on a CHP plant in Seascale. This crucial EC&I Technician has Monday to Friday working hours and the salary can be discussed upon application.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Fault finding, installing and maintaining instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
  • Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the site's DCS/control systems.
  • Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS).
  • Assisting in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMS.
  • Supervising and directing on-site contractors when required.
  • Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.
Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of maintenance on controls and instrumentation equipment.
  • Experience working in a maintenance position in a similar industry.
Personal skills

The EC&I Technician role would suit someone who:
