Astute's Power Team is partnering with a specialist supplier of Control & Protection Equipment to the Marine, Power Generation, and Oil & Gas sectors, to recruit a Sales Engineer for its Liverpool office, with travel to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities and duties of the Sales Engineer role
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and on-site customer visits
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of products and systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to energy and power systems equipment
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer training sessions
- Support the sales team with proposals, quotations, and tender submissions
- Conduct product training at the dedicated training facility
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of company products, systems, and applications
- Provide technical guidance on system architecture, integration, and configuration
- Carry out site surveys, system evaluations, and commissioning support where required
- Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to deliver effective customer solutions
- Support project handovers from sales through to engineering and delivery
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to identify future opportunities and product improvements
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings
Professional qualifications
- Strong hands-on background with practical knowledge on Deepsea, ComAp, SCADA or PLCs.
- HNC/HND or degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline would be advantageous
- Experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or technical support role
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and technical documentation tools
