Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company in the UK to recruit an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Technician to join its CCGT site in Rochester, Kent. The EC&I Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £50,000 + £2,100 SE allowance and a very competitive benefit package including 20% bonus, medical insurance and 10% pension contributions.

Responsibilities and duties of the EC&I Technician role:- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on electrical, control and instrumentation systems across the plant.
- Support the safe and reliable operation of the station through effective fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and maintenance documentation for EC&I activities.
- Manage and supervise contractors undertaking maintenance and outage-related works.
- Support the implementation of company safety rules as an Authorised Person or Competent Person, where appropriate.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of plant outages, inspections, and major maintenance activities.
- Maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and site personnel to ensure maintenance objectives are achieved.
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience maintaining EC&I systems within a CCGT power station or large-scale industrial process environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical, control, and instrumentation equipment.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation relevant to industrial maintenance activities.
- Computer literate with experience using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Controls & Instrumentation-biased engineer with experience maintaining and fault-finding on industrial plant systems.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving.
- A strong communicator who can work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Starting salary of up to c.£50,000 + £2,100 southeast allowance
- Bonus of up to 20% + private medical insurance
