Astute's Power team are looking to recruit a Commissioning Maintenance Mechanical Engineer on an Energy from Waste Project in Kent on a 3-4-month minimum contract.
- Support commissioning and maintenance activities across mechanical plant systems, including filter cleaning and exchange, pump disassembly, inspections, consumable replenishment, and general plant maintenance within a live EfW facility.
- Plan, coordinate, and undertake scheduled maintenance activities in line with manufacturer recommendations, supplier O&M manuals, plant preservation requirements.
- Diagnose faults on plant and rotating equipment, implementing corrective actions in collaboration with the Commissioning Manager, Lead Engineers, Operations personnel, and wider project teams.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and progress reporting within plant management systems such as PAMELA and CMMS, ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with HSEQ and project requirements.
- Liaise closely with commissioning, engineering, operations, and contractor teams to support safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of commissioning and maintenance activities across the project.
