Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading District Heating company to recruit a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to work across their assets in the London area. The Senior Commercial Gas Engineer comes with a salary of up to £55,000 + company van + overtime.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Commercial Gas Engineer:- Work under the guidance of the Technical Manager to deliver commercial gas maintenance and repair works to a high standard.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas boilers and associated plant in accordance with company schedules.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs on commercial gas boilers and related equipment, including pumps and pipework.
- Respond to reactive call-outs to reinstate heat and resolve plant or system failures efficiently.
- Participate in the on-call rota, attending emergency call-outs as required.
- Safely isolate mechanical and electrical equipment prior to carrying out works, in line with health and safety procedures.
- Work autonomously on site while providing technical support and guidance to other engineers when required.
- Assist with the management and delivery of site-based remedial and project works, including developing scopes of work.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the maintenance management system, completing clear and concise digital work orders.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying health & safety enhancements and assisting with the training and development of new engineers.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer or in a similar role.
- Valid commercial gas qualifications, including Commercial Gas Registration, TPCP1, and BMP1.
- NVQ Level 2 in Gas / Plumbing and Gas, with Part G certification (Part P beneficial).
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing commercial gas boilers across a range of manufacturers (e.g. Hoval, Hamworthy, Ideal, Buderus).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as P&IDs and mechanical schematics, with basic electrical competency and safe isolation skills.
- Reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to manage workload effectively and deliver tasks on time.
- Approachable and confident communicator, comfortable working with colleagues, clients, and site-based teams.
- Positive and adaptable mindset, keen to learn, develop, and contribute to innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
