Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a key player in the UK’s biogas market who are making hugely positive moves forward. We’re partnered exclusively with them to recruit a Maintenance Manager to be based from their site in the North East and to manage maintenance activities across the site, bleeding good habits and practices into others.

Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Manager role:- Reporting to Senior Management you will:
- Manage all maintenance activities across the site
- Maintain all plant as per policy and procedures
- Managing Technicians and Operators in the absence of the Plant Manager when required
- Implement and manage a robust, yet simple reactive and planned maintenance program in line with the Group policies
- Being hands on in maintaining process plant, mechanical equipment as well as gas and fluid processing equipment
- Help to develop and mentor junior members of staff, ensuring development plans exist
- Report on maintenance KPIs to upper management
- Complete on call duties as required
- Complete job close‑out reports and commissioning of projects and remedial works to assets
- Managing the CMMS
- Oversee the department’s procurement, ensuring spares are ready when required
- Ensuring department budgets are kept under control
- Other duties as required and full job spec available on request
- Higher education, ideally NVQ 4 minimum, in mechanical engineering or similar
- Electrical qualifications would be a bonus
- Minimum 5 years in a maintenance / engineering role
- Demonstrable management experience
- Full UK driving licence
