Astute’s Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit Commissioning Engineers for its Cheshire site. The Commissioning Engineer role comes with a rate of £500 per day.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and control of the components before tests.
- Cold tests on each individual part and sequence.
- Hot tests and the optimization of operating parameters of the flue gas treatment.
- Follow up operation of the flue gas system during hot commissioning.
- Participation in the training of client operators.
- Documentation and respect of the LAB Commissioning schedule.
- Inform the CM of any event that may impact the schedule.
- Test sheets (or equivalent) and procedure filling.
- Weekly written reports to the commissioning manager (CM) upon request.
- Updating of Commissioning documents: PIDs, detailed functional analysis feedback, operating manual, maintenance manual, I/O and instrumentation lists, alarm list.
- Report and check any modifications with the CM.
- Respect procedures regarding recording and treatment of all anomalies.
- Provide a log book during the first operation of the plant, filled with all important events concerning the commissioning (problems, breakdowns of equipment, etc.).
- Report every near miss or accident to the CM.
