Astute's Renewables team is partnering with the largest producer of renewable energy from food waste in England and Wales. The company owns and operates a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit an Operative for their site near Oxford. The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £34,108 + overtime, callout payments and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Site Operator role:
  • Support with the day to day running of the anaerobic digestion plant
  • Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
  • Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
  • Take part in the on-call rota
  • Monitoring the plant via the SCADA
  • Keeping the site clean and tidy
  • Maintaining high levels of health & safety
  • Other duties as required
Professional qualifications:
  • Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training is essential
  • Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Personal skills:
  • Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
  • Mobile plant experience
  • First line maintenance experience
  • Agricultural experience is highly desired
  • Great work ethic
