Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit an Electrical Technician for their Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Station in Rochester, Kent.
The vital Electrical Technician role comes with a basic salary up to £51,484 + Bonus + Overtime + skills shortage allowance + other excellent benefits.

Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for: Fault-finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, switchgear, transformers, variable speed drives, HV plant, etc Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices Undertaking/assisting in plant developments/ projects Setting to work and supervising contractors Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the sites CMMSEnsuring HSE compliance at all times Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Ideally apprentice trained with an NVQ Level 3 minimum qualification in an Electrical related discipline A Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous18th Edition Wiring regulations would be preferred Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who has: Prior Electrical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc.
Experience working with relevant electrical equipment such as motors, generators, switchgears, etc.
