Responsibilities and duties
- Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Fault-finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, switchgear, transformers, variable speed drives, HV plant, etc.
- Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices.
- Undertaking/assisting in plant developments/projects.
- Setting to work and supervising contractors.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the site's CMMS.
- Ensuring HSE compliance at all times.
Professional qualifications
- Ideally apprentice trained with an NVQ Level 3 minimum qualification in an Electrical related discipline.
- A Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous.
- 18th Edition Wiring regulations would be preferred.
Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge
- The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who has:
- Prior Electrical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc.
- Experience working with High Voltage (HV) systems up to 400kV would be ideal.
- Experience working with relevant electrical equipment such as motors, generators, switchgears, etc.
