Astute's Power Team are working with a leading Waste Management company to recruit a Senior Bid Manager for the business. As a Senior Bid Manager you will be responsible for leading all bidding activity, focusing on Local Authority Waste Contracts, taking full ownership of the tender process and working with internal teams to deliver tenders that align with the company's development strategy.

Responsibilities and duties:As the Senior Bid Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and coordinate bid activities and multidisciplinary project teams across a diverse portfolio of opportunities.
- Oversee the end-to-end tender lifecycle, from opportunity evaluation through to contract award and operational handover.
- Prepare and submit compelling tender responses, project implementation plans, and contractual documentation.
- Collaborate with key internal departments, including Operations, Finance, Legal, Technical, and Human Resources, to support successful project delivery.
- Design and develop comprehensive service solutions, presenting recommendations and proposals for approval.
- Track project milestones, delivery schedules, and performance against strategic development objectives.
- Establish and nurture effective relationships with clients, local authorities, and strategic partners.
- Produce regular progress reports and provide updates on project status, achievements, and key developments.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Ideally qualified with a relevant Project Manager qualification such as PMP, Prince2 or AgilePM.
- Ideally qualified with a degree in business or similar field.
The Senior Bid Manager role would suit someone with:
- At least 5 years experience working in a similar Senior Bid position.
- Experience with Waste Management contracts, specifically Local Authority contracts.
- Strong commercial knowledge.
- Able to lead and influence the tender process.
