Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading power protection solutions provider, known for its commitment to technical excellence and professional development, to recruit a UPS Engineer to work onsite in Grangemouth.

Responsibilities and duties of the UPS Service Engineer role Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will: Start up, maintain, and carry out emergency repairs on Start up, maintain, and carry out emergency repairs on, Batteries, Power distribution equipment, and Site monitoring systems Diagnose and repair faults using clients' technical drawings when necessary Provide technical recommendations to clients and colleagues Produce and follow site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
Ensure continuous communication with the service direction team Accurately complete all company and customer paperwork and administration.
Work independently and manage your own schedule and workload Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Previous field service experience in UPS, switchgear, IPS, SCADA, or related power/electrical sectors.
Qualified Electrician/Electrical Engineer (Level 3/4 or above - HNC, HND, NVQ preferred).
Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills in electrical/electronic engineering.
Competence with electrical measuring equipment and tools.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Personal skills The UPS Engineer role would suit someone who is: Highly customer-focused, with strong communication skills. Commercially aware and able to recognise opportunities.
Willing to travel and stay away from home (typically one week per month).
