Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a key business and influential player in the global energy market. The company has a vast portfolio of renewable energy assets and a brilliant company culture of looking after their employees. We're looking for a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join the team to cover different technologies in renewable energy across Scotland. This Field Service Technician comes with an excellent salary, depending on your experience, with the chance of overtime but with a work-life balance being key for the client. Responsibilities and duties of the Field Service Technician role
- Reporting to the Field Service Team Leader you will:
- Ensure the best performance of large-scale renewable energy assets
- Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery storage sites
- Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties
- Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues
- Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets
- Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems
- Look for trends and use data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result
- Occasional assistance with tasks such as solar panel cleaning, some ground maintenance and site CCTV
- Occasional working away from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this
We are looking for someone with the following:
- At least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation
- 2391 test and inspection is hugely preferred
- Any health and safety qualifications are a benefit
- Full UK driving licence
