Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting 2 Electricians to join an Electrical Main Contractor on a new build Waste to Energy facility based in Irvine, Scotland on a 5 months contract under the CIS scheme. The Electrician positions come with an hourly rate from £22.00 to £23.00 per hour.
Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems on a large-scale waste-to-energy construction project.
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate installations.
- Install containment systems (tray, basket, conduit, trunking) and wire circuits in line with project specifications.
- Perform electrical testing and inspection in accordance with current regulations and site procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
- Work collaboratively with other trades and contractors on-site to maintain project timelines and safety standards.
- Adhere strictly to site health and safety protocols, including RAMS and permit-to-work systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently, escalating problems where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including test certificates and installation documentation.
- Must hold a valid ECS or CSCS card, 18th Edition certification, and relevant Electrical Testing & Inspection qualifications (e.g. C&G 2391 or equivalent).
