Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Engineer role:
- Provide technical support for electrical systems on site.
- Plan, execute, and oversee Electrical Engineering projects.
- Deliver technical expertise to shape maintenance strategies, offering engineering support for the site.
- Coordinate and support maintenance work as needed to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Work towards achieving demanding targets in commercial performance, safety, environmental standards, quality, and personal development.
- Assist in the planning and execution of major outages.
- Contract Management of electrical related work and budget responsibility.
Professional qualifications:
- A qualification in an Electrical Engineering subject.
- Having a Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or above would be advantageous.
Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge:
- Prior experience working in an industrial engineering environment such as Power Stations (CCGT, Coal, EfW, Biomass, etc.), Paper Mills, Steelworks, Refineries, etc.
- Experience in budget and contract management.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as Health and Safety and Environmental.
- Experience working with High Voltage systems.
- Prior experience working on projects/plant upgrades would be advantageous.
