Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with a great structural engineering consultancy to recruit a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer for its Chorley site. This role comes with a salary of up to £55,000 with a 5% matched pension alongside other great benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Chartered Senior Structural Engineer role:- Perform structural engineering work, including design, site work, and report writing.
- Deliver conforming to relevant Codes of Practice, Design Guides, and the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Produce detailed structural calculations, sketches, drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation, specifications and risk assessments.
- Carry out site visits to ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
- Train and develop junior staff within the company in your areas of expertise.
- Support the commercial aspects of projects, including cost estimates and budgeting.
- Minimum three years' experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software.
- Strong understanding of Eurocode design for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry.
- Experience in report writing and preparing structural calculations.
- Commercial awareness of project costs, budgets, and quotations.
- Chartership Status with CEng, ICE or IStructE.
- Keen to get involved in innovative defence and nuclear projects.
- Eager to learn and develop in a senior role.
