Overview
Astute’s Nuclear Team is partnering with a building services and sustainability consultancy, to recruit a CAD Technician for its London/Milton Keynes-based office.
The strategically important CAD Technician role comes with a competitive salary, pension scheme, annual bonus, private healthcare, and long-term career development.

Responsibilities
- Produce AutoCAD Building Services drawings and models to a high technical standard.
- Create, update, and modify 2D plans using AutoCAD.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with company CAD standards and QA procedures.
- Attend client meetings when required to discuss CAD-related design measures.
- Utilise relevant project software including AutoCAD and Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360.
- Liaise closely with engineers to resolve technical issues and progress designs.
- Ensure drawings are prepared, stored, issued, and archived in line with company procedures.

- Professional experience using AutoCAD within a building services environment.

- Detail-oriented with a structured approach to technical work.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with engineers and wider project teams.
- Reliable, organised, and capable of managing multiple drawing packages.

Salary and benefits
- Salary up to £42,000 dependent on experience, with annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
- 25 days annual leave, increasing to 28 days after three years’ service, plus bank holidays.
- Pension scheme with AEGON, in line with auto-enrolment.
- Life cover at 4x salary.
- Income protection paying 60% of salary after six months’ absence, for up to five years.
- Comprehensive private health cover, with options to include family members (taxable P11D benefit).
