Astute's Renewables team is partnering with one of the world's leading companies in the wind energy industry, setting new standards in technological design for more than 30 years. We are working together to recruit an Electrical Works Project Manager to support the planning and delivery of electrical infrastructure across wind farm projects. This role offers a salary of up to £100,000 plus car allowance, and flexible hybrid working options, alongside a strong benefits package.
Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Project Manager role:
- Provide expert technical guidance to customers, sales teams, and utilities on electrical works matters.
- Collaborate with the Project team to prepare customer proposals, bills of quantities, and technical specifications for suppliers.
- Support the design and planning of network connections in coordination with network operators.
- Assist Sales during the project initiation phase with planning, scheduling, and scope alignment.
- Ensure all electrical works are specified and implemented in line with Health & Safety standards and technical requirements.
- Support the Commercial team with contract and claim management activities.
- Manage subcontractor negotiations and coordination.
- Monitor project delivery to identify and resolve additional costs, delays, and construction issues alongside the Construction Manager.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress.
- Drive project optimization initiatives in collaboration with the General Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on all electrical matters throughout each project phase.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a minimum Level 3 / HNC Electrical Engineering with specialised experience in power generation.
- Experience in power generation and electrical power systems.
- Project Management experience with an electrical or industrial focus.
- Strong understanding of SAP and SCADA systems is highly advantageous.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
