Astute's Power Team is partnering with a well-established large-scale EV installer with a commitment to professional development and sustainability, to recruit a senior quantity surveyor for their head office in North Lanarkshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor role comes with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 + a car allowance up to £450 per month, an annual bonus, 35 days holiday including shutdown days & a flexible working arrangement. Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role
- Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, cost plans, feasibility studies, and financial forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Administer contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating terms, managing variations, and resolving contractual disputes and claims.
- Oversee procurement and tendering processes, including preparing tender documentation, bills of quantities, and evaluating contractor and subcontractor submissions.
- Monitor project costs, progress, and compliance through site visits, cost reporting, risk assessment, and implementation of cost-saving strategies to ensure projects remain on budget and meet requirements.
Professional qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or equivalent (RICS)
- Proven years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large-scale construction projects, with a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Valid UK Driving Licence
