Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with a specialist infrastructure and utilities contractor delivering complex works across the UK's nuclear and regulated utilities sectors to recruit an experienced M&E Estimator with a strong water and utilities background to support estimating activities across a growing portfolio of non-core works.
The Estimator role is working Inside IR35, comes with a daily rate of up to £500pd (depending on experience) and will be initially based on a 12-month contract. The position is based on-site at Hinkley Point C and covers other nuclear power stations across the UK.
The role has a clear M&E estimating bias and is ideally suited to someone with extensive experience in water infrastructure and treatment systems. A civils background is not essential, provided the candidate has deep and practical water experience.

Responsibilities and duties of the M&E Estimator roleReporting to the Design & MEICA Manager you will:
- Prepare accurate and robust M&E estimates for design and build projects
- Estimating for:
- New structures
- Water to foul systems
- Temporary and permanent treatment centre 'pop-up' solutions
- Hinkley Point C (HPC)
- HPA / HPB
- Sizewell C (SZC)
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Proven experience as an M&E Estimator
- Extensive water and utilities experience (essential)
- Background in estimating for:
- Water treatment
- Wastewater / foul systems
- Utilities or regulated infrastructure projects
- BPSS clearance required
- Role is inside IR35 only
- £500pd depending on experience
- No benefits, bonuses, or expenses paid separately
