Astutes Nuclear Team is partnering with a leading building services consultancy to recruit an Associate Director to support the management and growth of their office and engineering team. This Associate Director role offers a salary of up to £110,000 along with a car allowance, private healthcare, and an excellent benefits package. Responsibilities and duties of the Associate Director role

  • Act as the discipline lead for the office, providing technical and operational support to engineers locally and across multiple offices.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the office and engineering team, including client management, invoicing, resource management, team morale, and business development.
  • Manage multiple projects and lead frameworks/workstreams in a co-ordinated manner, ensuring delivery to deadlines and within fee cost requirements.
  • Act as the clients main technical point of contact (and where required overall project lead), providing excellent client care throughout.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships, promoting the company to existing and potential clients and industry contacts.
  • Support business development activities, identifying opportunities for new and repeat work, including bringing or developing client accounts.
  • Play a key role in strengthening the electrical capability within the business following a recent senior retirement.

Professional qualifications

  • Degree/experience qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE or equivalent) - essential.
  • Strong background in building services engineering.
  • Proven experience in managing teams, projects, and client relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development and/or ability to bring existing client accounts.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability.
