Overview

Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a leading service company to recruit an Appointed Person and Mechanical Fitter as they expand their operations. Based out of the workshop in Essex, this role will also support Lifting Operations on client sites as and when required. This role comes with a salary up to £47,000 plus benefits including company van, overtime and benefits. Responsibilities

  • Mechanical fitting, installation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Reading technical drawings and carrying out fault-finding/repairs.
  • Planning and overseeing lifting operations as Appointed Person.
  • Preparing risk assessments, method statements, and lifting plans.
  • Ensuring safe, high-quality work in line with HSE standards.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) – CPCS A61 or equivalent.
  • CSCS / CCNSG, First Aid, and other plant tickets (advantageous).
