Astute's Renewables team is very proudly partnered with a company in the UK's biogas sector who are progressing forward with some strategic development and as a result, we're looking for a Construction Project Manager to join them. We have a solid and long term pipeline of builds here so we're wanting to recruit a permanent member of staff but if you're a contractor with genuine pedigree in delivering AD plant builds, I'd like to hear from you too.
This position will require someone who is open to staying away for some of / most of the week in order to be boots on the ground but with the majority of projects being in and around the central and southern areas of England. The Construction Project Manager role comes with an excellent salary, to be discussed with Astute, plus the benefits of being permanently employed by this market-leading company. Responsibilities and duties of the Construction Project Manager role:
- Manage the build of anaerobic digestion plants from a shovel in the ground to operational handover
- Manage on site contractors and the supply chain for the projects
- Manage and oversee full project programme, reporting back to senior management with key information
- Have full ownership and accountability for project costs and in ensuring the delivery of the projects is as per the original budget and timescale
- Manage any project risks and identifying them early, reporting to senior management
- Being boots on the ground and managing from the site, as well as remote working when necessary
- Travel to the sites when required
Professional qualifications:
- Higher education in a relevant field
- A recognised project management qualification is preferred
- Experience delivering energy from waste projects, with biogas builds being preferred
- UK driving licence
- Willingness to stay away
Personal skills:
- A problem solver
- Enjoying being on site and directing from the floor
- Strong with cost control and contract management
- Experienced with construction projects
