Astute Recruitment are working with a well-established financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join their growing team based in Uttoxeter. This role is ideal for someone analytical, commercially aware and confident working with financial data. You will play a key part in supporting credit decisioning and risk assessment activity.
Main Duties:
- Conducting detailed financial analysis for new and existing customer accounts
- Assessing financial statements, credit reports and lending ratios to evaluate creditworthiness
- Supporting the preparation of credit applications and facility reviews
- Managing the process of obtaining financial information for account reviews
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to provide clear, data-led credit recommendations
- Working with the wider credit team to improve processes and efficiencies
- Developing data sets and benchmarks to support higher quality analysis across sectors
Other Duties:
- Monitoring account performance and identifying early warning signs of credit deterioration
- Supporting portfolio reviews and ongoing risk monitoring
- Ensuring all lending activity adheres to legal, regulatory and company policies
- Providing timely and accurate support to both Credit and Sales teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement within credit risk reporting and analysis processes
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in credit risk, lending, or financial analysis within a commercial environment
- Strong understanding of financial statements and risk assessment principles
- Confident interpreting financial data and key lending ratios
Benefits and Salary:
- Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
- Hybrid working available (following training and business requirements)
