Finance Assistant | Derby | Permanent | Full-Time | Salary up to £28,000 | Fully Onsite Astute Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established national company, with offices based in Derby, to recruit a Finance Assistant. This permanent, full-time Finance Assistant role is fully onsite at the company’s Derby offices and offers the chance to join a supportive and dynamic finance team. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting and finance activities, making this a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in finance. What you’ll be doing: * Handling sales ledger tasks, including invoicing, payments, and credit control * Processing purchase invoices and employee expenses and managing supplier payments * Maintaining accurate cashbooks and bank reconciliations, including inter-company transfers * Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes * Assisting with stock order processing and sales order management * Helping improve internal systems and processes to ensure accurate financial records * Providing ad hoc support across the finance team and assisting with audits Who we’re looking for: * Experience in a similar finance or accounting role, ideally in a busy office environment * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks * Confident communication skills, both written and verbal * A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when needed Other roles you may have applied for: Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Credit Control Assistant, Finance Administrator, Ledger Clerk, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Officer, Bookkeeping Assistant
