The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support a statutory accounts project for a well-established organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with complex financial information and can efficiently manage large volumes of data. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and compilation of a set of statutory accounts, working closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and completion of statutory accounts.
- Assist with year-end financial reporting activities.
- Analyse, reconcile, and interpret large and complex data sets.
- Extract, manipulate, and validate financial information from multiple sources.
- Ensure accounting records and disclosures are accurate and compliant.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the finance function.
- Identify and resolve data quality and reconciliation issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Accountant, Financial Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong year-end accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience preparing or supporting statutory accounts.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to digest and interpret large volumes of financial data quickly and accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
