Astute is exclusively partnering with one of the leaders in industrial cleaning and shockwave solutions within the Power Generation sector to recruit a Trainee Field Technician/ Blasting Operative to join their growing team in Warrington. The Trainee Field Technician role comes with a starting salary of £32,100 with an expected OTE of £40,000. This role will be based out of their site in Warrington, however it will require extensive travel and staying away throughout the UK 5-6 days a week. Responsibilities and duties
- Reporting to the Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for joining a team of Blasting Operatives and Engineers working across the UK's power generation sector to provide key industrial cleaning and shockwave solutions within a number of Power Stations and Energy from Waste centres throughout the UK.
- You will use key cleaning technologies to improve the efficiency of power stations and process facilities through controlled detonative charges used in a power station boiler, to dislodge corrosive build-up on pipework.
- You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport and usage of explosives, working in a close team to deliver a timely and responsive cleaning service across the UK.
- This post will require a sizable amount of travel that can include weekends.

Professional Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- Experience of working in a 'hands-on' position previously, ideally within a hazardous or industrial environment would be desirable although not necessary.
- A full clean UK driving licence is essential.

- A flexible approach to working and happy to stay away from home 5/6 days per week.
- A pro-active and can-do attitude.
