Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a key business and influential player in the global energy market. The company has a vast portfolio of renewable energy assets and has a brilliant company culture of looking after their employees. We're looking for a Level 3 qualified Electrician to join the team to cover large scale, ground mount solar assets across the Suffolk region. This Solar Technician comes with a salary up to £40,000, with door to door pay and paid overtime too, including travel time. Responsibilities and duties of the Solar Technician role:
- Ensure the best performance of large-scale renewable energy assets
- Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery storage sites
- Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties
- Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues
- Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets
- Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems
- Looking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result
- Occasional electrical works across the site including the welfare cabins and other associated electrics
- Occasional working away from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this
Requirements:
- At least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation
- 2391 test and inspection is hugely preferred
- Solar experience is preferred but not essential
- Any health and safety qualifications are a benefit
- Full UK driving licence
