Astute's Renewables team is proud to partner with a well-established business within the Anaerobic Digestion sector. They are looking for a motivated, hardworking individual to join them at their site in the Scunthorpe area. The Biogas Plant Operator will be working a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern and be part of an on-call rota once trained.

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Plant Operator role:
- Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:
- Carry out day to day operations of the renewable energy process plant
- Use SCADA control systems to monitor the process (training provided)
- Carry out general maintenance tasks such as changing and isolating a pump, greasing, oil and filter changes
- Support the biologist with carrying out analysis checks (training provided)
- Feed fuel into the process using mobile plant such as telehandlers
- Respond to machine and systems failures
- Ensure adherence with health & safety at all times
- Be part of an on-call rota (once trained)
- Other duties as required
Professional qualifications:
- A relevant Engineering qualification/certificate would be an advantage but not essential.
- Telehandler or other plant tickets such as loading shovel, tractor etc., but not essential.
- A full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Personal skills:
- Experience working in a similar outdoor environment
- First line maintenance experience
- Has a genuine interest in working in the renewable energy sector
- Has a good work ethic and has a desire to work as part of a supportive team
