Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a leading renewable energy business focused on utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects to recruit a HSEQ for its office in Reading. The strategically important HSEQ Manager role comes with a salary of up to £80,000, discretionary bonus, pension scheme and hybrid working. Responsibilities and duties of the HSEQ Manager role:
- Lead HSEQ activities across utility scale solar and BESS projects throughout England and Wales
- Drive continuous improvement across health, safety, environmental and quality systems
- Maintain and improve integrated management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Carry out site audits, inspections and compliance reviews across operational and construction sites
- Support contract management, incident investigations and corrective action processes
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and wider HSEQ legislation
- Other duties as required
Professional qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a senior HSEQ position across a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM regulations
- Experience managing ISO-accredited management systems
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred
- Experience within solar PV, BESS or HV electrical environments would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites when required
