Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company in the UK to recruit a Shift Team Leader to join its CCGT site in West Sussex. The Shift Team Leader role comes with a starting salary of up to £64,000 basic salary, £12,000 Shift Allowance and £2,100 SE allowance as well as benefits including bonus and medical insurance. Responsibilities and duties of the Shift Team Leader role:

  • Lead and supervise shift operations to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient running of the plant.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for out-of-hours site management and operational decision-making.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Undertake Safety Coordinator duties in accordance with company safety rules and permit-to-work systems.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational obligations are achieved.
  • Monitor plant performance and respond proactively to operational issues to maximise availability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and support maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maintain operational readiness.
  • Lead, motivate and develop shift personnel through effective people management.
