Astute s Power Team are currently recruiting for Plater to join the EPC Contractor on the new build OCGT plant based in Lincolnshire on a 4 months contract. The Plater position comes with a flat hourly rate from 28.00 to 30.00 CIS.
Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:
- Carry out the fabrication, modification and installation of steelwork, brackets, supports, access platforms and mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings and site requirements.
- Close out mechanical and structural punch list items, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication details and technical specifications to support installation, repair and maintenance activities.
- Assist with the fitting, alignment and installation of mechanical equipment, pipework supports, steel structures and associated plant systems.
- Undertake repair, maintenance and refurbishment activities on power generation assets, including Coal, Gas Turbine (GT), Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and other industrial plant environments.
- Work closely with welders, mechanical fitters, supervisors and construction teams to ensure the successful delivery of outage, maintenance and new-build construction projects.
Location: Lincolnshire. Day rate: 28.00 to 30.00 per hour CIS. Immediate start date: 4 months.
