Astute's Renewables team is partnering with the largest producer of renewable energy from food waste in England and Wales. The company owns and operates a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. They are looking to recruit an Operative for their site near Oxford. The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £34,108 + overtime, callout payments and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Site Operator role:
- Reporting to the Plant Manager you will support with the day-to-day running of the anaerobic digestion plant.
- Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps.
- Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel.
- Take part in the on-call rota.
- Monitoring the plant via the SCADA.
- Keeping the site clean and tidy.
- Maintaining high levels of health & safety.
- Other duties as required.
Professional qualifications:
- Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training is essential.
- Engineering qualification/certificate is desired.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Personal skills:
- Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment.
- Mobile plant experience.
- First line maintenance experience.
- Agricultural experience is highly desired.
- Great work ethic.
