Astute's Power team is exclusively partnering with Seabank Power Ltd to recruit two Operation Technicians for its Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power station in Bristol. The Operations Technician roles come with a starting salary of £49,881, rising to £59,881 following a successful probationary period. Additional benefits include overtime at 1.5x, private medical, annual bonus, pension contribution and more.

Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Operations Manager you will:
- Be part of a shift team that operates a CCGT power station using a DCS system
- Ensure the plant is operated safely, efficiently, and with due regard to the environment
- Operate the day-to-day interfaces between Seabank Power Limited, its customers, and National Grid
- Carry out routine operational checks, first line fault finding and troubleshooting to ensure plant availability is maintained
- Prepare plant for maintenance, including the implementation of Seabank Safety Rules
- Help to implement the SPL emergency procedures
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Previous experience performing the role or its equivalent
- A recognised engineering qualification, ideally through an apprenticeship
- An understanding of CCGT power station plant or similar Process Technology
- Computer literate with a good operational knowledge of DCS systems
The Operations Technician role would suit someone who can:
- Demonstrate an ability to self-motivate and contribute to the overall management and continued improvement of Seabank
- Work flexibly and on their own initiative
- Make technical decisions based on available information
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a sound engineering approach
